It's really a good thing that I have both "Song About Nothing" and "Bring Me A Beer" to include on this album, because either of them on their own would stick out like a sore thumb alongside the other songs in this collection. I've discovered a real love for this kind of song, the sing-along kind that's best shared with a room full of less-than-sober people. It's ironic that these two songs, written years apart, ended up being so complimentary, so it was destiny that they should be combined into what I call the "Bar Mix". Bar Mix is the term used to describe anything that goes well with alcohol, and it feels like an appropriate label for these two tunes...

"Song About Nothing" is another one of those songs that I seem to keep writing, in which the phrases are cruelly long and close together for a singer to perform. Good thing I'm doing this to myself...

"Bring Me A Beer" is a song for those people who work hard and play harder. I make no apologies for enjoying a drink, or several, from time to time, but please don't drink and drive!!
