This song was written years ago, and turned out to be the seed for "Goodbye, Bedford Falls", the lead single from
my "No Games" album. I wrote it one year around Remembrance Day, as I pondered the life of a soldier returning from war,
forever a changed person.
I decided to record this for the "Too" album in memory of my grandfather, R.G. Bradley, who died serving his country
during World War II. He served in the RAF Voluntary Reserve, and was killed during a high-altitude test flight of a modified
Boeing Flying Fortress bomber. The crew of this flight was memorialized in May 2007 in the village in England where the
plane crashed. I re-created the memorial plaque in the liner notes for the "Too" album.
